General Knowledge/Math contest

Results are out!

Dear contestants:

We are pleased to inform you that the results of the contest 2007 have already been released.  We have mailed the results individually to most of you and you should receive them shortly.  We do not have all of your mailing address and have difficulty in reaching some of you by phone.  If you have not received your results yet, please send an email to or with your mailing address and we will notify you by email and mail.



  • 1st prize - Gold medal

  • 2nd prize- Silver Medal

  • 3rd prize - Bronze Medal

  • 4th to 8th - Achievement award

All the winners will be presented with their awards at our Kalai Vilza:

General Knowledge/Math contest

In order to offer an opportunity for the younger generation of Canadian Thamils to demonstrate their talent in general knowledge and math, Hartley College Past Pupils Association has decided to conduct a combined general knowledge/math competition.

This competition will be held in English.

Place: Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute
2450 Birchmount Road, Scarborough,
Ontario (North of Sheppard)

Registration ends: Thursday May 03, 2007

You may register through phone, fax or email by giving your children's name, grade, birth month and year, phone number and email address.

Winners will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and the next ten highest scores will be presented with achievement awards.

Prizes will be awarded during the Hartley Kalai Vilza held May 26, 2007 at Stephen Leecock CI, Scarborough.

Contestants do not have to be a Hartleyite's child.

Contest sub committee request that all the Canadian Hartleyites print at least 20 flyers and distribute among their friends and relatives and encourage them to bring in their kids to participate in the contest.
