With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Hartleyite Dr. Jothimalar Muhunthan, neurologist at the Sarnia General Hospital, on Friday, April 10, 2015 in Toronto at her 66 years of age.
She is the beloved daughter of late Mr. Ponniah and late Mrs. Yogam Ponniah of Thumpalai, wife of Dr. Arumairajah Muhunthan, General Surgeon Sarnia, mother of Dr. Myurathy Rao, Nephrologist, Toronto, mother-in-law of Vasudev Rao, sister of Hartleyite Ponniah Ramajeyam (Canada), Hartleyite Sivamalar Subramaniam (Thumpalai), Hartleyite Ponniah Arunothayam (Australia) and Jeyam Maheswaran (UK) and grandmother of Arjun, Vishnu and Karna.
She is a long time life member of Hartley College Past Pupils' Association Canada & USA, generously provided continued support to our activities, and attended our events regularly. She is also an Old girl of Methodist Girls High School - Point Pedro, native of Thumpalai, and resident of Oakville, Ontario.
