Obituary Notice of Mr. Manoharan Curunaathan

We regret to inform that Hartleyite Mr. Manoharan Curunathan (1974 O/L Batch), former president and current executive committee member of HCPPA Canada/USA, native of Thumpalai, Point Pedro, and resident of Toronto, Canada passed away due to Covid-19 complications, in Toronto on January 06, 2021.

Manoharan joined HCPPA Canada/USA executive committee in 2005, held the positions of Treasurer (2005, 2006), Secretary (2007), President (2011 and 2012), Vice President (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) and member (2019, 2020). During his time with the organization, Manoharan was a tireless volunteer and organizer in every single events with constant enthusiasm and has been a champion in promoting our organization.

He is the son of late Mr. Chinniah Curunathan, retired Principal of J/Thumpalai Sivapragasa Maha Vidyalayam and late Mrs. Ranganayaki Curunathan;

Beloved husband of Uthayakumari;

Father of Niruthiga and Nishanthan;

Brother of Selvamani (MGHS), Santhakumari and Thavamani;

Brother-in-law of late Govintharajah, Kanagarajah, and Gunaratnam; and

Uncle of Nishakar, Nirushanthi, Vanitha, Vijitha, Suresh and Sarangan.
