Mr. Thambiah Vadivelu
Mr. Thambiah Vadivelu passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at his age of 87 years in Colombo, Sri Lanka while on holiday from Australia.
He is a retired Principal of Yakkarai Maha Vidyalayam, resident of Sydney (Australia) and originally from Thunnalai South Karaveddy.
He is the loving husband to Mrs. Gnanasountharam.
All his 6 sons were Hartleyites from the late 50s to the late 70s:
The two daughters Vasanthy Ratnarajah and Vijaya Jayanthakumar (both Sydney, Australia) also studied in Point Pedro where Mrs. Vadivelu was a teacher at Vada Hindu Girls' College.
Viewing: Viewing is held at Mahindapala Funeral Parlour in Mt Lavinia junction during the following times.
5pm to 8pm on TUESDAY 11th August 2009
5pm to 8pm on WEDNESDAY 12th August 2009
Funeral: Funeral will be held on Thursday August 13, 2009 at 3.30 p.m. at Mahindapala Funeral Parlour, followed by cremation.
